The Inspiration
A handsome stone carving of a foliate swag and central floral basket comprise the marble frieze on the frontispiece of this fireplace mantel.
The Flowers
Florist’s inspiration: The exquisite floral carvings, signature artwork of the six decorative double door panels incorporated into the mansion’s second floor, was uniquely inspiring because 1) with florals, the carving gives life to, makes beautiful, and elevates what is perceived to be a very mundane and solely serviceable aspects of our lives -- the door -- to its true level of importance as one of the more powerful symbols throughout time; and 2) in alignment with the philosophy and practice of Plants and Blooms ReImagined, the carved florals, with the intentionality of permanence, will be reimagined as a new and extended expression of beauty and giving!
The wood itself inspired what would be the design’s dominant expression of the color green, as wood -- one of the five elements in Chinese culture – is denoted by the color green, symbolizing growth, expansion, vitality, health, and prosperity. The mission and work of Plants and Blooms ReImagined is in large part a wood experience!
Lastly, the encircled nature of the floral carvings was one additional source of inspiration, in that the integration of the circle may have been the artist’s ultimate embedded message – one of universality, sacredness, eternity, wholeness, unity, inclusivity and so much more! Thus, the circular composition of the design, inclusive of florals and plants, reflective of the significance of each in the work of Plants and Blooms ReImagined.

B Floral was created in 2008 by Shelly Bagdasian. Shelly has taken her knowledge from a degree and career in interior design and applied it to her love of creating beautiful events for her clients. None of it would be possible without her talented counterpart, Scott Bagdasian, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen. Together they work with a team of talented people to create the perfect event for their clients.

Although our specialty is weddings and corporate events, we also love designing for all of the special occasions in between. We offer custom floral design, table top design and decor rentals for all of life’s special events and holidays. Circa Life Images
Donnamaria is a published, award-winning portrait and event photographer based in the Washington DC-Maryland-Virginia area. She owns and operates Circa Life Images Studio, a 2,500 square foot space located on the north end of Waldorf in Southern Maryland. The spacious facility has a very large bay door entrance and offers a range of professional imaging services to include portrait, lifestyle and automotive photography. The studio is conveniently located off the main thoroughfare, MD Route 301, with ample parking just a few feet from the main entrance. She also travels internationally to provide on location photography services.
