The Flowers
Florist’s inspiration: The depiction of Maria Foscari crossing the footbridge to her coronation in Venice inspired me to create a free-standing structure of beautiful colors from different flowers in full blooms to represent the flow of water under the footbridge of the Venetian canal.
This floral arrangement is my own take of a modern twist on the traditional art piece. The grouping of colors transitioning from a bolder to a softer tone complements the colors being used in the painting with some added lush floral backdrop made from a variation of creeping greenery.
It is my hope that the intentional transition of the fullness of colors add some much needed cheers to the world.
Recipe: This installation will be created by a self-standing wood frame with fresh cut seasonal floral blooms designed in a floral foam, together with a variety of greens that will add fullness to this floral piece. Some of the floral blooms include tulips, garden roses, peonies, stock, together with flowing greenery and some dry elements.
