Second Floor - Key Room
The Inspiration
The first allegorical mural in the Key Room depicts the founding of the Society of the Cincinnati at the end of the American Revolution. The mural was painted by H. Siddons Mowbray in 1909.
The Flowers
Recipe: Roses, delphiniums, anthuriums, other seasonal flowers
Florist’s inspiration: Inspired by the warm colors and majestic movement of the painting, the elements of this floral display seek to convey that same feeling as though it has stepped out of the canvas and into the room.
